The 2-in-1 homegrown gem aims to offer a community hub for cycling enthusiasts, fitness folks, foodies, coffee lovers and nice people who like nice places. Open daily from 7am until 9pm, the artistic space is sure to delight the Emirate’s cafe crowd. The design was actually done on the fly without any 3D mock ups or drawings and everything was brought to life bit by bit by the talented team. There are two eye-catching murals – one of Old Dubai, which was spray painted by the visual artist Enforce One and one of the Hatta Mountains (a popular cycling destination), which was designed and painted by Aamna Hussain. The cafe is flooded with mood-boosting natural light and there are ample seating options for small and large groups plus free WiFi – making it a great spot to work or study.

Food-wise, head chef and co-founder Boelie Van Der has put together a menu that offers modern classic recipes with an Aussie influence. There are ample healthy options alongside a few indulgent dishes and keto, gluten-free, plant-based, vegan, and vegetarian diets have all been catered to. Breakfast is served until 5 pm and the lunch and dinner menu is available from 11 am until 9 pm. Drinks-wise, Airwerks is alcohol-free and offers specialty coffee, teas, fresh juices, milkshakes, protein shakes, and juice shots.

The HUNTR tried the Keto Bowl (54AED) a healthy mix of 2 eggs cooked to your liking, avocado, lightly sautéed kale, turkey bacon, roast portobello, toasted sunflower seeds, roast pumpkin, and grilled halloumi. The Protein Pancakes (49AED) served with fresh berries and sesame brittle and the light and refreshing Airwerks Signature Bowl (44AED) – açai, mixed berries, banana, peanut butter granola, and freshly shaved coconut. We also enjoyed three perfect coffees – the Filipino Latte (26AED), Piccolo (20AED), and Cappuccino (24AED) and vegan-friendly, plant-based milks are available for those who prefer them.
