From the folks behind Moylos Burgers, Around The Block Dubai is a must-visit for foodies, sneakerheads, and coffee fans. Join your friends at The HUNTR as we present a closer look…
Located at Jumeirah 1‘s homegrown hub Wasl 51, Around The Block Dubai (also known as ATB Dubai) was created by Emirati Ismail Al Shari, who also founded popular homegrown burger concept Moylos Burgers. Opened in late 2019, Around The Block is part coffee shop, part restaurant, and part sneaker studio.
Urban and inspiring, here you can get your sneakers cleaned and customised, shop the small curated retail offering, drink a fab cup of specialty coffee, and then relax with breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The menu at the ATB restaurant encompasses breakfast dishes including eggs, sweet treats, vegetarian-options, and super healthy creations like power balls and smoothie bowls. Lunch and dinner offerings include starters, easy-going mains like sandwiches and burgers, and more formal mains such as fish dishes, steak, and more. Plus a nibbles menu for light bites and dessert. There are ample vegetarian-friendly items, plus a couple of vegan dishes, and the options range from super healthy to super cheat-day-worthy.
The HUNTR passed by for a late lunch. We dove straight into mains and had the Wagyu Sirloin Steak with Truffle Mashed Potato and Mushroom Sauce (167AED). The dish was faultless and features tender juicy slices of wagyu with a flavourful mashed potato and divine mushroom sauce. Plus the Rigatoni Kale Pesto with Burrata (84AED) – rigatoni pasta with a zesty kale pesto sauce, balsamic mushrooms, semi-dried tomatoes, and a creamy burrata cheese.
We completed our lunch on a sugar high with the Kunafa French Toast (47AED) with cheese, cornflakes, rose water, and cotton candy – this is out-of-this-world good and not to be missed.
Drinks-wise ATB is alcohol-free and offers juices, soft drinks, and specialty standard caffeine. The HUNTR had two perfect coffees using Archers beans. The free WiFi, creative vibes, and cool playlist make this a great spot to study, host a meeting, or get some work done too.
