Say hello to Blaze Burgers Dubai – a homegrown Bahraini concept tucked along the beachfront at JBR…
With a sleek, industrial interior, this burger joint might just be serving the best burger in Dubai. Cool artistic murals pepper the walls, and as soon as you enter Blaze Burgers it’s all about the food – a cashier is waiting for you with the menu and is ready to invite you to create your burger and take your order. It’s a unique experience and one that we thoroughly enjoyed. Next up it’s time to peruse the impressive “condiments library” and select from a plethora of sauces with a shopping basket. Fun!
The creation of your burger is also a unique experience. First you choose your meat – select from the Old School Burger (40AED single / 49AED double), Gourmet Wagyu Burger (64AED), Extra Love Burger (72AED – two old-school burgers and two toppings), 6abooga Burger (72AED – your favourite topping sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches), Grilled Chicken (40AED single / 49AED double) or a vegetarian option: The Portobello Mushroom (42AED). Next, you select your toppings (we’ll be here all day if we list them – suffice to say there are plenty and they all sound divine), and your bun (choose from soft white, wholewheat or a lettuce wrap). Extras are also available (such as bacon, crispy onion strings etc) and priced at 4AED each.
The Huntr opted for the following The Blaze Original (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, mustard, homemade pickled onion, cheddar cheese and burnt cheddar) in the Gourmet Wagyu Burger. It was divine. The burnt cheddar disc was out of this world. It added a crunch and a depth of flavour that we loved. We also tried the 6abooga Burger and recommend that you do the same – a burger nestled between two grilled cheese sandwiches – what could be better for a cheat day? Yum. We also decided to try the vegetarian option (Portobello Mushroom) in a lettuce wrap – it was great, jalapeno sauce, roasted peppers, mustard and pepper jack cheese.
To accompany these heavenly burgers, you can choose from four sides: scoopers, chips, French fries or onion rings, done in 6 different ways – plain, cajun, reloaded, crazy, angry or chilli cheese. We were also treated to a sample of a delicious chocolate molten cake that’s not currently on the menu, but hopefully will be added soon. Drinks wise we opted for the awesome creamy milkshake and a mojito mocktail cooler. Both were excellent.
All and all it’s a round of applause from The Huntr and Blaze Burgers is definitely a strong addition to Dubai’s bustling burger bar scene. We adored the customizability of everything, that burnt cheddar disc and the fact that you can get a burger nestled between two grilled sandwiches – because hello, YOLO. Make sure you add Blaze Burgers to your Huntr hitlist and go fill your boots ASAP.
