Day Pass: Private cabanas and luxe vibes at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira

Purchasing a day pass and parking up at the luxurious and chic Mandarin Oriental Jumeira is a very good idea. Join your friends at The Huntr as we show you why…

Looking for an indulgent day pass experience in Dubai? You’ve landed in the right place. Located in Jumeirah 1, the Mandarin Oriental offers a family-friendly pool, pristine beach with sparkling blue waters, an adults-only pool, two outdoor playgrounds (one of which is water-based) and an indoor kid’s club, a spa, gym, and six fantastic F&B concepts (including The Huntr-coveted Tasca and Netsu). There are currently three different ‘M.O Pass’ options to choose from (full details below).

The Huntr loved the privacy of the cabanas, which are great for families or couples, and come with a red Smeg fridge stocked with water and soft drinks, a large sofa and two armchairs plus two sunbeds facing your own semi-private stretch of pool (and an AC unit when needed). The beach is lovely and peaceful and well maintained and the pool service is exceptional (we were provided with a bell to call for service whenever we needed it). We also loved the hotel’s picturesque garden landscaping, which is beautifully appointed with various greenery and trees that rustle gently in the breeze adding to the relaxing vibes.

For lunch, we dined at The Bay restaurant, which is the Mandarin’s casual-ish, licensed beachside brasserie serving Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. The space is cosy and chic, with potted plants and decorative items dotted around to catch your eye. Plus the floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide an amazing view of the beach and surrounding area. We opted for the Lobster Tagliatelle – juicy and sweet lobster cooked with a creamy tomato sauce and served with thick tagliatelle pasta. The melt-in-your-mouth Giouvetsi Lamb with orzo pasta and the fresh, crunchy, and satisfying Greek Salad. There’s also a dedicated kid’s menu, vegetarians are well catered to, and there a few vegan-friendly options.

The Dayluxe Pass is 300AED on weekdays with 200AED F&B credit back* and 500AED on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) with 200AED F&B credit back*. The Cabana Pass is priced at 2000AED and is good for four guests with a bottle of champagne on arrival, fruit platter, private butler service, your own private cabana with sofas, a fridge, an AC machine when needed, and a little stretch of semi-private pool. And lastly, the adults-only Infinity Pass is priced at 1000AED and gets you a welcome drink, fruit platter, private butler service, a three-course menu by José Avillez at Tasca, a selection of signature Portuguese drinks, wines, and mocktails plus a sunset cocktail of your choice served between 5 and 6 pm.

Insider tips: The *F&B credit back is available to redeem at either the Sun Vibe Pool Bar or The Bay restaurant. Complimentary valet parking is available but you need to validate your ticket. The pool and beach open from 8 am until 7 pm. At present, the food service doesn’t start at 12.30.
