Dibba Bay Oyster Shack: Sitting on the dock of the bay

Does eating gourmet oysters sitting on the dock of the bay sound rather ideal to you? Then you are in for a treat. Join your friends at The HUNTR as we share our recent visit to the Dibba Bay Oyster Shack…

Every now and then we at The HUNTR stumble across a gem that gets us extra excited. Extra. This is one such place. Say hello to the first oyster shack/shop from the folks at Dibba Bay – a.k.a. the Middle East’s first shellfish farm producing gourmet oysters grown in the pristine waters of Dibba in Northern Fujairah.

Perfectly located within the Fishing Harbor in Umm Suqeim, this tiny spot is a must-visit for all oyster fans. Complete with a gorgeous outside seating area overlooking the bobbing boats and sparkly water, the shack serves up just one dish at present – 6 perfectly shucked, plump Dibba Bay oysters, on ice, with lemon slices and Tabasco sauce (90AED). You can also purchase boxes of 12 (unshucked) oysters to take home for 99AED.

The oysters are as fresh as they come and what could be better than sinking oysters and relaxing by the water? Race you there…

Insider tips: Open daily from 10.30am until 8.30pm. Why not explore the surrounding fish and veg markets and have a little post-oyster walk around the harbour?
