Tucked away inside Bay Square in Business Bay you will find Eat Artisanal Bakery. Featuring a simple yet cosy interior, we loved the table filled with freshly-baked bread available to take home. There’s also a beautiful display of baked goods and pastries.
The Huntr visited for a casual lazy weekend meal. We opted for the Buttermilk Fluffy Pancakes (34AED), which come served with pecan maple butter, and maple syrup and fresh raspberries on the side. They are simple and classic and highly recommended. Plus the Signature Breakfast Bruschetta (38AED), which is comprised of homemade rustic bread topped with fresh avocado, cherry tomatoes, 2 poached eggs and a dollop of rocket pesto. Fresh and tasty, this was another highlight for us.
Tempted by some of the lunch offerings, also tried the Quinoa Chicken Salad (38AED) from the salad display. It was light and fresh. Last but not least, we selected the Slow-Braised Lamb Shank (58AED), which comes with roasted garlic mash, roasted root veggies and lamb jus. The meat was tender and tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Don’t miss it.
In terms of drinks, there are plenty to choose from and we potentially didn’t choose very well… We opted for the fusion water that has cucumber and mint. It wasn’t the prettiest presentation we’ve ever seen and is served at room temperature. We also ordered a cappuccino and sadly we weren’t blown away. Granted we are fully-fledged coffee snobs, but this one was very milky and we could barely taste the coffee. We wouldn’t recommend it.
If Eat Artisanal Bakery could inject a little more passion and friendliness into their staff and work on their coffee, we think we’d be back every weekend. As it stands now, we will definitely return on occasion to try more tasty dishes and look forward to visiting the new JLT branch soon. Stay tuned.
