Antoni Gaudi and Salvador Dali are the inspiration behind Espana Lounge Dubai’s adventurous decor – which captures your attention and sets the tone as soon as you step inside. There are none of the typical quaint wooden vibes associated with most Spanish restaurants to be found here. It’s all dark tiles with a few pops of red, eclectic furniture, sexy lighting and an altogether artistic mood: Just like Gaudi’s masterpieces, Espana’s ceilings and walls are all curves and Dali-esque lips and eyes pepper the rooms. It’s a feast for the eyes (and the iPhone)…
There are two bars at Espana Lounge – one of which is dedicated entirely to women. And instead of windows, LED TV screens flicker with scenes from Barcelona, Madrid, Marbella, and Ibiza’s iconic nightlife vibes. So you are quite literally transported to a fun night out in Spain. There’s even a Spanish performer.
Cocktail fans are in for a treat at Espana – The Huntr sampled a few of the signature brews and our favourite was the ‘All Night Long Sangria’ (sparkling grape, fresh watermelon, passion fruit, sugar and lemon): So refreshing and light.
And food wise, this Dubai Creek hotspot offers some of Spain’s most famous (and delicious) dishes including paella, and addictive little tapas bites. Discover the menu here and make sure you visit hungry; this is tasty grub.
All and all this is a must-visit spot and our new favourite for drinks in the Dubai Creek area – whether you want to go for a few casual drinks with friends or go the whole hog and have a proper dinner: You won’t be disappointed and should add it to your Huntr hitlist, stat.
