‘Find Salt’. It’s a curious name, and probably one of the (many) reasons that this concept became so coveted, so quickly. Two young Emirati women started this food truck with the same aim as The Huntr – to make residents feel like tourists, and tourists feel like residents. It’s a nice sentiment, and the burgers are even nicer…
Salt serves up a duo of sliders from its now permanent locations at Kite Beach, Dubai and Mushrif Park in Abu Dhabi (and more – full list here). Like any good foodies worth their salt (sorry), the founders mix up the menu and debut limited-edition creations on occasion – like February-April 2015’s Black Burger, which complemented the fact that the silver truck is also one of the few outlets to stock and serve the elusive and super cool BLK water. They also serve up an array of sweet treats, including a magical ‘Lotus Softie’ – the perfect cool down after a long day at the beach.
This is a must-try place (just ask Sheikh Mohammed and his son Sheikh Hamdan) and one of the most Instagram worthy spots in town. What started out as a single, silver food truck has grown to become a burger village of sorts – and Find Salt Dubai also has an expansive seating area with A/C (pictured above) so these delicious burgers can be enjoyed all year round.
Insider tip: Order the classic and the chicken cheeto burger. You will get a total of 4 mini burgers and can split them with your friend for the best of both worlds.
