2024 brought remarkable changes to the UAE's collection of fine dining restaurants, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi welcoming an impressive array of new venues. The arrival of The Lana in Business Bay introduced several noteworthy spots including Riviera – where French chef Jean Imbert's precise techniques shine through in every dish – and Jara, where Martín Berasategui's Basque heritage comes alive through carefully sourced ingredients and time-honoured recipes.

One Za'abeel made its mark with distinctive additions like StreetXO, where chef Dabiz Muñoz brings his creative energy to dishes that merge global influences with technical precision. The development also houses La Dame de Pic, where Anne-Sophie Pic's thoughtful approach translates into plates that balance innovation with classical French foundations. Over at J1 Beach, established names from the French Riviera like African Queen sit alongside fresh concepts such as Vladimir Mukhin's Sakhalin, where Mediterranean and Asian flavours meet in a sophisticated beachfront setting.

A note from the HUNTR: There are several venues that opened their doors in November and December 2024 that might deserve a spot in this guide. We believe in taking time to properly experience destinations before deciding whether they are worthy of a spot on the HUNTR Directory. We'll continue updating this guide as we complete our visits in the coming weeks.
