Set against Al Quoz's industrial backdrop in Barsha, AVANTCHA Tea Bar & Shop is a minimalist haven dedicated to the ancient art of tea appreciation. This sleek, contemporary space transforms the typically rushed beverage experience into something far more intentional – sophisticated enough to impress tea connoisseurs while remaining approachable for those just beginning to explore beyond familiar territory.

The venue showcases premium Chinese and Japanese teas with a curator's attention to detail, from the carefully arranged display of tea canisters to the interactive scent station that engages visitors before they've taken their first sip. Bocasu: Industrial warehouse hiding a bonsai garden, specialty coffee and premium sushi in Al Quoz

From the street, Bocasu's stark black exterior offers only the faintest hint of what lies within – two sentinel bonsai trees standing guard beside an unmarked entrance. Step inside this Al Quoz warehouse and discover one of Dubai's most genre-defying concepts: part coffee roastery, part bonsai nursery, part premium Japanese restaurant, all wrapped in moody industrial design. The name tells the story – Bo for bonsai, Ca for café, Su for sushi – and they deliver on all three with rare ambition.

This homegrown concept spans single-origin coffees roasted on-site to an extensive Japanese menu featuring handrolls, 'jawarma' wraps, and sophisticated desserts, plus a dedicated Bonsai Room where you can purchase plants alongside your meal. With German ownership guiding Japanese culinary expertise, Bocasu represents something utterly unique in Dubai's café culture.

CINNAMORE: Artisan cinnamon rolls and specialty coffee in Jumeirah's Boxpark

At a compact corner of Boxpark, Maria and Sami have built CINNAMORE around a single focus: cinnamon rolls made in-house, served with specialty coffee. The space is deliberately small – four wooden tables, a wall-length sofa, floor-to-ceiling glass that lets in considerable natural light.

Maria develops all the flavour profiles in the bakery, working from one base dough that shifts character through different toppings. The couple's dairy intolerance shaped their menu development, resulting in vegan options that use dairy-free, eggless dough alongside the standard range. It's a straightforward operation that prioritises execution over variety.

Cross Coffee Al Quoz: Specialty coffee in Al Kass Ceramics studio

Inside Al Kass Ceramics in Al Quoz, Cross Coffee creates an unexpected fusion of specialty coffee and working pottery studio. This homegrown operation, launched by an Emirati entrepreneur, has expanded from its original Al Khawaneej location to inhabit the heart of Dubai's industrial quarter.

The space presents a living gallery where handcrafted ceramics line floor-to-ceiling shelves, glaze colour charts cover the walls, and pottery wheels share space with espresso machines. It's coffee with context – surrounded by the tools and artistry that create the very vessels your drink arrives in.

FLTR at The Meld: Specialty coffee and signature bagels in Jumeirah 1

In late 2025, FLTR set up shop inside The Meld in Jumeirah 1, bringing its specialty coffee and bagel programme to the Al Ghurair sisters' curated multi-brand space. The focus here is precisely prepared specialty coffee, properly executed matcha drinks, and a tight selection of bagels that balance comfort with unexpected flavour combinations. It's a neighbourhood spot where thoughtful design meets daily ritual, operating within The Meld's calm, minimalist environment.

Neutral tones and natural light fill the space throughout, with varied seating that works equally well for quick coffee stops, extended working sessions, or leisurely catch-ups. Free wifi and accessible parking add practical appeal.

Gelato Del Mar: Artisanal gelato in Al Barari

A burst of sunshine yellow against Al Barari's quieter streets, Gelato Del Mar churns out house-made gelato with a focus on quality over quantity. This husband-and-wife operation – Serbian and Emirati – runs a tight ship: a compact space where the production kitchen sits behind glass and every scoop comes with the knowledge that it was made metres from where you're standing. The gelato here skews lower in sugar than most, appealing to those who want their sweet fix without the sugar crash.

The vibe is grab-and-go more than linger-over-coffee, though a handful of tables offer a perch if you'd rather eat your cone in peace. Specialty coffee rounds out the menu, making this a worthwhile stop for both a caffeine hit and something cold – a useful combination in Dubai's warmer months.

Haas Dubai: Serene minimalism meets exceptional coffee in Jumeirah

Just opposite Mercato Mall in Jumeirah 1, Haas offers a tranquil escape. This Emirati-owned space champions simplicity through clean design and quality coffee. Large windows flood the multi-level café with natural light, while the stripped-back interior keeps conversations and coffee central to the experience.

With beans from Ethiopia, Brazil, and Colombia, Haas balances serious coffee credentials with approachable charm. The varied seating options – from breezy outdoor areas to intimate upstairs nooks – accommodate everything from casual catch-ups to quiet contemplation.

Halfcup: Specialty coffee and all-day dining from London in Business Bay

In August 2025, London's Halfcup landed in Business Bay with their first Dubai outpost, combining expertly crafted coffee with inventive all-day dining. The minimalist space showcases locally roasted beans through creative lattes like spirulina and ube, whilst the fusion menu playfully merges influences from Bombay potato pancakes to Korean-spiced fried chicken.

Expansive glass panels bathe the industrial-chic interior with natural light, creating a calm, contemporary atmosphere perfect for leisurely brunches or focused coffee sessions. The waterfront location offers glimpses of Burj Khalifa within Business Bay's ever-changing surroundings.

Homebrew Coffee: Nostalgic specialty coffee in Al Satwa

This gorgeous Al Satwa space once housed a boutique hotel café and has since found new life as of September 2025 under Homebrew Coffee, where 90s Dubai nostalgia meets thoughtful sourcing. The venue's best features remain unchanged – soaring ceilings, abundant natural light, and well-designed seating areas. Now it houses a homegrown specialty coffee brand that understands what Al Satwa has been missing.

The communal table anchored by a living tree draws people into shared spaces, encouraging proper conversations over quality coffee. The menu focuses on local sourcing, from nearby roasted beans to za'atar and labneh that bring back childhood memories. Think Chips Oman served alongside sourdough sandwiches, and familiar ingredients given contemporary treatment. It's rare to find this level of specialty coffee and matcha in Al Satwa, where founder Ania Kubow's commitment to supporting UAE farms is as evident as her desire to build community connections.

Isola Space: Design gallery and café in Business Bay

Most design galleries feel like places where you look but don't touch. Isola Space flips that script entirely – here, you're meant to sink into the sculptural seating, order a matcha latte, open your laptop, and stay a while. The venue brings together exhibition gallery, concept store, café and co-working space under one double-height roof in Business Bay.

The spot belongs to Isola Design Group, the Milan-based collective known for curating exhibitions at design weeks from London to Riyadh, and represents their first permanent physical venue anywhere. No membership or entry fee required; the café and workspace are open to everyone. Every chair, lamp and table serves double duty as both functional furniture and purchasable design object – you might end up taking home the stool you've been sitting on.

Julith Coffee & Roastery: Dubai's homegrown coffee roastery with focus pods and specialty matcha

The hum of roasting machines greets you at Julith Coffee & Roastery, a two-storey Al Quoz destination where specialty coffee and productive workdays coexist. Downstairs functions as brew lounge and concept store with roasting operations on full display; upstairs transforms into a proper coworking setup complete with soundproof focus pods.

House-roasted beans fuel the coffee programme, quality matcha caters to the green tea crowd, and an all-day menu keeps you fed from morning through afternoon. Quick stop or full workday – Julith handles both.

Klay Dubai: Innovative Paratha Buns in the Dubai Mall's The District

One of the most popular places in the HUNTR Directory in 2025, tucked within The District – a modern dining and retail concept in The Dubai Mall occupying the space that previously housed The Souq's gold and jewellery sellers and now home to 60 cafes, eateries and shops – Klay delivers a refreshingly concise menu that celebrates the humble paratha in extraordinary ways.

This venture from the team behind Karak House transforms traditional ingredients into contemporary creations that honour their roots while offering something genuinely distinctive. With its perfectly executed paratha buns enveloping savoury fillings, complemented by specialty karak concoctions, Klay offers a compelling reason to explore this revamped modern space celebrating homegrown culinary talent.

Kurasu Dubai: Japanese specialty coffee in Dar Wasl Mall

Kyoto's coffee culture finds its home at Dar Wasl Mall with Kurasu, a Japanese specialty coffee concept with successful outlets across Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, and Indonesia. The minimalist space channels calm amidst the mall's bustle – a tranquil retreat where hand-dripped specialties, matcha, and Japanese-influenced pastries are prepared with meticulous precision. Power sockets and free WiFi make this ideal for focused work, while the first hour of opening (9–10 a.m.) offers the quietest atmosphere.

Laughing Bread Bakery Dubai: Artisanal bakes and specialty coffee in Al Quoz

A striking corner space in Al Quoz houses Laughing Bread Bakery, where minimalist design meets artisanal craft. This bakery and coffee house champions handmade everything, from the sculptural wooden furniture carved by local artisans to the flaky pastries emerging from their kitchen. The space feels like a gallery where coffee and bread share equal billing with thoughtful design, creating an atmosphere that's both serene and purposeful.

Generous windows frame the interior like a living tableau, drawing your eye to the textured stone wall that commands attention with its carved, undulating surface.

Maison Margiela Café: Fashion-forward French patisserie in Mall of the Emirates

On the first floor of Mall of the Emirates, the Maison Margiela Café extends the French luxury fashion house's minimalist aesthetic into the culinary realm. Opened in late February 2025, this intimate 40-square-metre terrace café operates in partnership with AP&Co. Hospitality, creating a seamless fusion of high fashion and refined gastronomy. Every detail reflects the deconstructive philosophy that has defined Maison Margiela since its founding by Belgian designer Martin Margiela in 1988.

The boutique café serves as both an extension of the adjacent fashion space and a destination in its own right, where one can savour artfully presented desserts and sophisticated beverages while watching the world go by.

MAZMI Cafe Al Fahidi: Historic café in Dubai's iconic heritage quarter

Within the coral stone walls of a beautifully restored 1950s merchant's house, MAZMI coffee & more marks the second outpost for this beloved Dubai café concept. Nestled in the Al Fahidi Historic District amongst preserved Emirati traditional houses, this location transforms the former residence of Sheikh Mohammed Shareef Abdulrahman Al Ulama into an intimate café destination.

While it doesn't offer the stunning creek views of the original MAZMI at Creekside, this heritage setting provides its own compelling draw with gorgeous courtyard spaces and authentic architectural details. Natural light filters through traditional wooden screens onto contemporary furnishings, whilst the central courtyard provides a serene outdoor retreat beneath mature trees.

Milk Haus Dubai: Artisanal bakery and coffee concept in Nad Al Sheba

Along the roadside at Nad Al Sheba Mall, Milk Haus is the latest endeavour from the minds behind Dubai's homegrown Milk Bakery on Al Wasl Road. This compact space serves as both a takeaway coffee counter and a dine-in café, albeit with limited seating. Here you'll find a thoughtfully curated menu featuring specialty coffee from La Cabra, all day breakfast dishes, artisanal sourdough, and signature bakes transported daily from the original Milk Bakery. With its Seventies-inspired interior and intimate atmosphere, Milk Haus offers a welcome respite for those seeking quality coffee and baked goods in this developing neighbourhood.

Mokha 1450 Coffee Priorists: A high-end specialty coffee boutique in Emirates Towers

Mokha 1450 Coffee Priorists transforms coffee culture into something educational without losing sight of what matters most – exceptional beans and skilled preparation. This glass-fronted space in one of Dubai's most recognisable towers combines innovative technology with traditional brewing methods, creating hands-on learning experiences that feel substantive rather than gimmicky.

As a pioneer in Dubai's specialty coffee culture, Mokha 1450 builds direct relationships with female-owned farms across Ethiopia, Yemen, Colombia, and Jamaica. The Emirates Towers outpost embraces minimalist luxury with floor-to-ceiling windows and a dramatic coffee bar of gleaming stainless steel topped with striking red marble. It captures the feeling of a five-star hotel bar – all the sophistication and theatre, but zero alcohol, only coffee mixology. Limited seating means this works better for quick meetings than lengthy sessions.

Mood: Emirati-owned minimalist café serving specialty coffee and all-day breakfast in Al Safa

Founded by Emirati entrepreneur Ahmed Al Ameriri, who established the concept's first location in Al Ain, this three-storey space prioritises clean lines, neutral tones, and architectural. Full-height windows floods the interior with natural light, whilst curved structural columns and under-lit stairs create a gallery-like atmosphere.

The approach is deliberately unfussy: quality specialty coffee, all-day breakfast spanning Mediterranean and European influences, and a layout that accommodates both laptop workers and social gatherings. A rooftop level remains under development for cooler months, but the two current floors already provide enough space to breathe.

Morn Brew: Beachfront specialty coffeeshop in Jumeirah 3

Joggers finishing their morning loops along Jumeirah Beach have turned this compact outdoor coffee kiosk into something of a post-run ritual. Morn Brew operates from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily, serving specialty coffee alongside smoothies, light breakfast items, and a selection of sandwiches and acai bowls. It's a straightforward beachfront setup without indoor seating, banking entirely on location appeal and good coffee to draw morning runners, afternoon beach-goers, and late-evening strollers.

The weekend scene reveals the café's sweet spot: post-exercise crowds settled into contemporary black mesh seating or more relaxed pallet-built sofas with striped cushions facing the water. Everything's priced accessibly – coffees range from 18 to 32 AED – and manual brew options and matcha feature alongside espresso-based drinks.

Of The Earth Alserkal Avenue: Local produce, specialty coffee and all day breakfast in Al Quoz

Of The Earth is a homegrown farm-to-table café where local produce takes centre stage alongside specialty coffee. Tucked into Alserkal Avenue's creative corridor in Al Quoz, this spot functions as both a working café and a celebration of UAE agriculture. The concept centres on sustainability and connecting diners with locally sourced ingredients, some grown on the café's own private farms.

The kitchen delivers thoughtfully prepared dishes whilst the coffee bar runs a programme featuring house blend and rotating beans. The space works equally well for solo laptop sessions, casual catch-ups, or relaxed mornings with family. With its blend of conscious sourcing, capable execution, and welcoming atmosphere, Of The Earth positions itself as Al Quoz's neighbourhood spot that happens to care deeply about where everything comes from.

Okimasu: Japanese soufflé pancakes and pudding in Al Barari

Soft, wobbly soufflé pancakes dusted with icing sugar. Three-layer pudding cakes that jiggle at the slightest touch. Egg-shaped cakes with hand-drawn faces peering up from ceramic trays. Okimasu brings a very specific corner of Japanese café culture to Dubai – the kind you'd stumble upon down a quiet Tokyo side street, where desserts are taken seriously and cuteness is an art form.

Located inside the Artist Hub in Al Barari, this tiny homegrown café specialises in Japanese-style desserts made fresh to order, alongside specialty coffee and matcha drinks. The space seats barely a dozen people, which only adds to its charm – and explains the occasional wait for a table.

Parlour Boutique Dubai: An elegant homegrown all-day restaurant and cafe nestled in the Trade Centre Area

A beloved homegrown gem since 2017, Parlour Boutique reopened in 2025 following an extensive summer renovation with a stunning makeover. This Emirati-owned concept has transformed into an elegant all-rounder that truly caters to every dining need – from specialty coffee and leisurely breakfasts to business meetings and full meals throughout the day.

Parlour Boutique champions the sharing philosophy whilst housing its own bakery and sourcing beans from respected roasters Espresso Lab and The Barn. The expansive indoor space accommodates everything from intimate coffee dates to family gatherings, with plug sockets and reliable WiFi making it equally suited for getting work done.

Parka Bakehouse: Artisanal Emirati bakery in Nad Al Sheba

Another contender in the top 5 of 2025 for the HUNTR Directory list, the second branch of Parka Bakehouse opened in Nad Al Sheba this year, following the success of this Emirati-owned bakery concept's first location in Sharjah.

From the team behind Ganache and co, this bright, airy space quickly drew a devoted following, evidenced by weekend queues of eager visitors. Glass counters showcase freshly baked goods while the kitchen turns out breakfast plates that combine technical precision with satisfying flavours. What sets Parka Bakehouse apart is its deft integration of regional ingredients into contemporary dishes that transform breakfast into a proper meal worth savouring.

PDL Nad Al Sheba: Dubai's 7am-to-midnight coffee sanctuary

This compact PDL outpost arrived in Nad Al Sheba with one standout advantage: it opens at 7 a.m. and stays open until midnight, making it one of the few spots available outside standard mall hours.

The space is cosy and compact – one of the smaller PDL locations compared to the original Al Safa spot or the flagship Dubai Mall branch – but the team has created an appealing Seventies-esque lounge complete with rugs and leather armchairs. Different seating options cater to small groups, whilst an expansive outdoor area provides plenty of breathing room. It's an appealing spot any time of day, but especially useful for anyone in Nad Al Sheba Mall before 8 a.m. or after 10 p.m.

Located in The District at Dubai Mall, the space feels like an intimate Khaleeji home reimagined for contemporary diners, with a beautifully crafted coffee bar serving both traditional Gahwatna and modern specialty brews. What makes Shalwa particularly special is its community-driven approach – a nationwide call for family recipes is building a living archive of Emirati and Khaleeji culinary traditions.

Stead Bakery: Homemade sourdough and specialty coffee in Al Rahah

A bright corner space in Al Raha is home to Stead Bakery, where the aroma of naturally fermented sourdough mingles with cardamom-laced karak. This small bakery and café dedicates most of its square footage to an open kitchen where you can watch bakers shape croissants and pull espresso shots, creating transparency that defines everything here.

Owner Rashed describes his concept simply: "a birth of a friend who knows well the snacks you like, a homeSTEAD where you feel comfortable to chill." Within weeks of opening in Summer 2025, that vision materialised into a welcoming space where regulars feel at home, families stop by with children, and the sourdough sells out before closing time.

The space splits across two levels with a glass partition showing the roasting area, so you can watch the process while you're there. Large windows let in plenty of natural light and look out onto the water on one side, the roastery on the other.

Founder Laura wanted to create a space where people could hang out and get to know each other, inspired by French café culture. Along with coffee, there's a bakery section, Korean products for sale, and a menu of breakfast items and pastries. Peter Akingbade, a Q Grader and coffee consultant, runs workshops here on sourcing, roasting, and brewing.

Mill Café: Beachside specialty coffee and light bites on Saadiyat Island

There's something almost meditative about watching boats bob in the harbour from floor-to-ceiling windows whilst cradling a perfectly extracted V60, and Mill Café has turned this simple pleasure into an art form. Perched along Saadiyat Island's pristine coastline, this minimalist retreat occupies a space where the water provides the backdrop for what might be Abu Dhabi's most serene coffee ritual.

The cafe's refined aesthetic marries muted olive-green plaster walls with striking wood-grain patterned surfaces that cascade across the bar front like liquid marble frozen in time. What distinguishes Mill from the crowded field of beachside cafés is its commitment to quality over quantity. The focused menu spans specialty coffee and matcha to carefully crafted light bites and desserts, including a signature cake that could inspire weekend pilgrimages.

Mina Creamery: Artisan ice cream in Abu Dhabi's Mina Zayed

Ice cream made from a dorm room recipe for dates that failed horribly several times before it worked – that's the origin story behind Mina Creamery, Abu Dhabi's artisan ice cream shop in the creative MiZa district. Co-founded by Anant Singh and Emirati ice cream writer Rihab Al Gurg, the brand treats ice cream as a medium for exploring memory, comfort, and regional flavour rather than simply serving scoops. The menu rotates through combinations like olive oil with za'atar, salted saffron with halwa, and Filipino-inspired creations such as buko pandan and ube toffee – the kind of ice cream that sparks conversation and rewards curiosity. For anyone tired of the usual vanilla-chocolate-strawberry rotation, this is the Abu Dhabi address to know.

Otaku Al Qana: Ceremonial matcha, specialty coffee and Japanese fusion food in Abu Dhabi

A distinctly Japanese approach to café culture defines Otaku at Al Qana, where ceremonial matcha takes centre stage alongside a full menu of Japanese-fusion dishes. This Emirati-owned concept occupies a prime waterfront position where minimalist design meets serious coffee and matcha craft. The space balances the serenity of traditional Japanese tea culture with the social energy of a modern all-day dining destination, making it equally suited for solo work sessions and group meals. With expansive windows offering water views and a comprehensive menu spanning breakfast pastries to wagyu steaks, Otaku positions itself as both a specialty beverage destination and a reliable neighbourhood restaurant.

Seed & Bloom Cafe: Wholesome community hub in Al Raha Gardens

In a world where cafés often feel like carbon copies of each other, Seed & Bloom Cafe stands as a quiet rebellion against the formulaic. Set in Al Raha Gardens' main square, this Emirati-owned venture has created a space that feels essential to its community rather than merely convenient to it.

The scent of sourdough starter mingles with locally sourced herbs, while flour-dusted surfaces hint at the daily bread-making ritual that begins before dawn. But here's where Seed & Bloom transcends the typical café narrative: they've turned their space into a living classroom – teaching children to shape cookie dough, guiding adults through sourdough fermentation, and hosting painting sessions where creativity flows as freely as the specialty coffee. Another reason to visit:

Super Classic Cafe Abu Dhabi: Specialty coffee and pastries in Al Bateen

A compact specialty coffee shop set inside one of Al Bateen's public parks, Super Classic Cafe is built around simplicity and quality: premium coffee beans, freshly baked pastries made on-site, and a design ethos that favours warm woods and clean lines over unnecessary flourishes. The roughly 30-square-metre space accommodates intimate gatherings rather than large groups.

Owned by the team behind Otaku and designed by shell+core studio, Super Classic strikes a balance between sweet nostalgia and contemporary minimalism. The menu is small but deliberate, focusing on sourdough pastries, babkas, danishes, and a tight coffee list featuring espresso-based drinks and pour-overs. With its park setting next to 3 Fils restaurant and proximity to a children's playground, it draws regulars seeking refuge from busier cafés.

Tebr Cafe: Specialty coffee and minimalist design in Khalifa City

A purpose-built space in Khalifa Square, positioned next to the Municipal Community Center and adjacent to a public park, houses Tebr Cafe. The café operates as both a neighbourhood hangout and a destination for serious coffee drinkers, offering single-origin pour-overs alongside milk-based classics in a setting that prioritises comfort over quick turnover.

The space makes an immediate impression with its commitment to minimalist principles – warm caramel leather seating, matte bronze accents, and natural wood tones create a soothing palette throughout. Expansive glazing wraps the interior in daylight, whilst low-slung furniture and generous spacing establish an atmosphere more reminiscent of a private lounge than a typical café. Beyond coffee, the menu includes matcha, protein milkshakes, and small-batch desserts.

The B Club: Specialty coffee and sleek vibes in Abu Dhabi

Step into The B Club, a charming Emirati-owned speciality coffee shop in Abu Dhabi where exceptional coffee meets an impressive organic matcha programme and homemade comfort food. This intimate café has quietly built something remarkable – an exclusive partnership with a small Kyoto farm that makes them the sole GCC distributor of their organic matcha, whilst maintaining a carefully curated coffee selection and thoughtful all-day menu. Tucked away from the city's bustle, The B Club's contemporary space offers limited seating that encourages both quick morning visits and leisurely weekend brunches, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking quality over quantity in Abu Dhabi's growing speciality coffee landscape.

The B Club is proud to be part of the HUNTR Coffee, Specialty Tea & Matcha Card family – make nine purchases, collect nine stamps, and your next drink is on them.

Therapie: Art meets wellness in Abu Dhabi's MiZa

Somewhere between a café and a creative retreat, Therapie occupies a curious middle ground that Abu Dhabi's wellness-curious crowd has been quietly gravitating towards. Inside MiZa's industrial enclave in Al Mina, this homegrown Emirati venture treats coffee as an accompaniment to something larger: a space where art therapy, sound healing, and simple human connection take precedence over perfecting your latte art.

Founded by Maissa Al Khafajy, recognised among the UAE's 51 Emirati Women Achievers, Therapie functions as equal parts café, curated retail space, and art studio. The drinks menu stays deliberately lean, the prices accessible (a flat white runs 24 AED), and the atmosphere decidedly unhurried.

Whatnot Concept: Playful concept store and cafe in Saadiyat Island

A concept store that doubles as a coffee stop on Saadiyat Island's Hidd Al Saadiyat promenade, Whatnot Concept is the work of three friends who've built something refreshingly different – a space filled with curated pieces collected from travels around the world, with specialty coffee, matcha, and homemade ice cream to keep you lingering. The flower shop adds another layer, with striking arrangements punctuating the retail displays.

The setup is intentionally communal. Mismatched vintage chairs cluster around stainless steel tables, encouraging spontaneous conversations. Glass block walls filter natural light across concrete floors, while backlit wooden shelving showcases everything from vintage toy cars to contemporary art prints. The drinks menu keeps things focused: specialty coffee, matcha variations, and scoops of homemade ice cream. Marina views from the outdoor seating don't hurt either.

ETHR ClubHaus Sharjah: A speciality coffee shop and contemporary restaurant in Al Mamsha

ETHR ClubHaus has staked its claim in Sharjah's Muwaileh Commercial district within Al Mamsha by Alef, bringing the Emirati-owned brand's serene aesthetic to a new emirate. The venue combines speciality coffee and matcha with casual all-day dining that strikes a balance between refined and welcoming, with both indoor seating and an intimate outdoor terrace. Complimentary parking and free WiFi make this a practical choice for working or lingering over a long breakfast.

Kneaded Bakery Sharjah: Kid's play area, artisanal bakes and specialty coffee in Muhwailih Commercial

Kneaded operates within Together, an indoor play area at Tiraz 1 in Aljada (more on that here). The bakery produces quality pastries and breads alongside proper specialty coffee, making it a practical solution for parents who want decent food whilst their children play.

The menu combines French pastry techniques with regional touches, like their Khameer Croissant infused with fennel seeds and turmeric. Whilst the orange branding and children's music clearly signal the family focus, the kitchen takes its baking seriously enough that you'd visit for the food regardless of the play area.

Parka Bakehouse: Artisanal bakes and all-day comfort food in Sharjah's Aljada

In the verdant surroundings of Shajar, Aljada, Parka Bakehouse transforms the concept of a neighbourhood bakery into something altogether more substantial. This greenhouse-inspired space marries French baking techniques with Japanese design sensibilities and unmistakable Emirati hospitality. Just a stone's throw from American University of Sharjah, the bakehouse first opened its doors in Spring 2025.

Flooded with natural light and surrounded by lush greenery, Parka invites visitors to observe the theatre of an open kitchen where bakers craft everything from buttery croissants to intricate pastries. This homegrown concept by Alabbar Enterprises offers a warmth that permeates beyond its baked goods to the entire dining experience.

Shuweihi: A traditional Saudi tea house in Sharjah

The aroma hits you before you've even stepped through the door – warm spices, black tea leaves, and something unmistakably comforting that recalls cold-weather homecomings. Shuweihi brings the traditional Saudi tea house experience to Sharjah's Muhwailih Commercial neighbourhood, a homegrown concept where karak and specialty black teas take centre stage alongside small homemade bakes.

Founded by Saudi entrepreneur Shamma Ibrahim, the café occupies a cosy space with both indoor and outdoor seating, drawing a steady crowd of tea-seekers – particularly to the terrace once temperatures drop. The focus here is refreshingly narrow: no sprawling menus or complicated coffee contraptions. Just exceptional tea, done properly.
