Practically every hotel in the UAE will be hosting an iftar and/or a suhoor this Holy Month. Opulent and oversized, these evenings can be a joyous way to celebrate the ending of your fast for another day with family and friends.
Of course, not all are created equal. the HUNTR recommends checking out the Majlis at the Mandarin Oriental if its 2023 version was anything to go by (stunning, see picture above), plus the iconic Asateer Tent at The Atlantis, and Madinat Jumeirah Al Majlis.

FIYA: Sublime fire-cooked cuisine in an ethereal setting
Guests are invited to experience a unique and cosy dining experience during the Holy Month at FIYA: A homegrown restaurant celebrating the element of fire at the Keturah Reserve.
The brainchild of celebrated Arab pitmaster Hattem Mattar, Tamer El Khayat and Faisal Yabroudi (of Pinza & the Matcha Club), here you can indulge in a specially curated menu for suhoor, whilst you enjoy traditional card games and backgammon.
The scoop: From 10th March until 10th April, guests can experience the Iftar menu from sunset until 8 p.m. for 215AED per person or opt for the later Suhoor experience from 9 p.m. where there will be a minimum spend of 100AED per person on the a la carte menu.
Aventura Parks: Dubai’s largest zipline park
Looking for something a little out of the ordinary? Then head on over to Aventura Parks. Located in a natural ghaf tree forest, the park’s Ghafé Restaurant will serve Ramadan favourites, providing guests with buffet-style Iftars that feature a variety of dishes, including Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine. With a starlit setting amidst the picturesque surroundings of the Ghafe tree forest, the dining experience at The Ghafé also includes entertaining board games, access to the park, tawla, and oriental music. This unique combination makes it an ideal choice for a truly unforgettable Iftar gathering for friends, families, and groups.

The Lighthouse: A unique licensed eatery (and concept store) in d3
The Lighthouse Iftar experience includes free-flowing starters, a choice of a main course, a decadent dessert, and unlimited soft drinks for 199AED per person.
Taking place at all Lighthouse branches, the menu highlights include Baked Feta and the Grilled Octopus with Spicy Hummus, plus succulent Grilled Baby Chicken, the HUNTR's favourite Truffle Rigatoni, and Grilled Salmon Fillet. There is also a limited edition dessert inspired by the occasion alongside Lighthouse's signature dessert menu. Guests can enjoy a live Oud player and the iftar experience is available daily after sunset.

Jun’s: A must-visit licensed restaurant by Chef Kelvin Cheung
Downtown gem Jun's invites guests to share in the spirit of togetherness with a memorable Iftar meal this Holy Month. The specially curated menu, available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, features "It's a Date" mocktail and Corn Miso Dashi Soup, a Mezze Sharing Platter with a unique twist by Chef Kelvin Cheung, alongside family-style main courses including Chicken Claypot Machboos and Jamaican Chinese Lamb Neck. Vegetarian options like Eggplant Parmesan and Kung Pao Broccoli are also available. Desserts include the Emirati favourite Luqaimat.

RAW: Specialty coffee, a roastery, cafe and community space
This Ramadan the homegrown RAW Coffee Company presents ‘Souk Deeritna @ RAW Coffee’, an Iftar event in collaboration with Dish Catering & Events and Deeritna Catering.
The theme "Let's Bloom in Hope" highlights resilience and cultural heritage, featuring Palestinian artists' works in the décor.
The scoop: Priced at 195AED for adults and 120AED for children aged 6-12, the menu offers authentic Palestinian cuisine, floral-infused beverages, and traditional drinks. Family-friendly activities include kids' workshops and Palestinian art and merchandise displays. Held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with corporate bookings available on weekdays for groups larger than 50 guests. Zenon: An Al-driven, upscale restaurant in Downtown Dubai
From sunset to 9 p.m. daily the folks at Zenon will be offering a thoughtfully-curated, nutrient-dense iftar meal this Holy Month. AED 295 per person menu will be available daily throughout the month of Ramadan. Starting with dates and olives, the menu unfolds with an option of traditional lentil or tofu soup, followed by a selection of mezze or a tomato salad with stracciatella, pine nuts and basil.
Mains include Kibbeh-Bulgur and mince beef kofte, burnt eggplant in a soy miso glaze with feta mousse confit tomato, Poached Sea Bass fillet with tomato, olive, and caper sauce, or a Begendi - served with milk feed lamb stew and potatoes. And the experience finishes on a sweet note and a series of pastries for dessert including, Baklava, Kunefe, and Kadaifi.
The scoop: Priced at 295AED per person and features intriguing AI-powered artworks and projections.
The Guild: A stunning homegrown restaurant, bar and cafe in DIFC
For Ramadan, the folks at The Guild will offer a daily Iftar menu from sundown to 8 p.m., blending classic European and Arabic cuisine. Guests can choose whether to dine in The Rockpool or Salon and enjoy Medjool Dates and Lavoush, followed by dishes like Porcini Mushroom Veloute and Roasted Tomato Flatbread. Mains like Seafood Risotto or Spiced Lamb Shoulder are not to be missed and you can end with delights such as Saffron Milk Cake and Baklava. Homemade chocolates with a Middle Eastern twist are also available. For an intimate affair, book The Ritz Room for up to 16 guests.
Sonara Camp: An epic fine dining experience in an eco-friendly camp in the picturesque desert
For the Holy Month of Ramadan the Nara Desert Escape camp will be transformed into a cosy Arabian spice market. Opening for Iftar from 5:30 p.m. and Suhoor from 9 p.m., guests can choose from a selection of Middle Eastern and international dishes, with bustling live food stations, regional clay pot specialties such as Fish Saydieh, delicious tajines, curries, and slow cooked spit roast lamb, plus juicy kebabs and firewood bread and manakeesh.
During the Iftar experience there will be camel rides, a falcon show and live out music, and during Suhoor, a fire show and live out music. Shisha and tea will also be available and the camp features prayer tents for men and women.
The scoop: Adults are 590AED per person and kids age 6-12 250AED. Iftar runs from 5:30-9 p.m. and the shoot from 9 p.m. until midnight. The Nara Desert Escape is alcohol-free throughout the Holy Month. Find out more and book here

The Gerbou Iftar experience at home
Gerbou, the hotly-anticipated restaurant set to open later this year in a unique partnership between Tashkeel & Atelier House Hospitality – has announced a unique Iftar delivery experience for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Offering a taste of what’s to come when the homegrown gem opens later this year, the Iftar home experience menu has been created by Gerbou’s chef duo Ionel Catau and Saher Al Awadhi, and features Arabic, Emirati and international cuisines, with traditional flavours and references paired with culinary creativity.

Jameel Arts Centre: Art galleries, a sculpture park, a library and so much more
To commemorate the Holy Month of Ramadan, Jameel Arts Centre is organising a series of festive nights, inviting participants to embrace a slower pace of life. Themed "Ramadan Nights of Shared Traditions," these events aim to foster a sense of connection and appreciation for the present moment.
Open to visitors of all ages and families, Ramadan Nights of Traditions will occur on the following dates:
- Connecting over shared traditions: Saturday, March 16, from 9 p.m. until midnight
- Crafting over shared traditions: Saturday, March 23, from 9 p.m. until midnight
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore current Art Jameel exhibitions through storytelling and art talks. Additionally, they can engage in crafting activities and connect with the wider community through well-being and mindfulness workshops led by UAE-based creatives. Participants can also immerse themselves in hands-on self-led activities at various drop-in stations and savour traditional delicacies. A late-night treat awaits at the farm-to-fork restaurant Teible.

Josette: 1920s Parisian glam in ICD Brookfield Place
Featuring a delicious union of French culinary art with Middle Eastern flavours, the Josette iftar experience features lentil soup, dips and homemade baguette, slow-cooked lamb leg, and a plethora of tempting desserts including the beignet with honey.

Suhoor Strolls with Gulf Photo Plus
Everyone’s favourite photography maestros – Gulf Photo Plus (GPP) – have announce the return of their coveted Suhoor Strolls for Ramadan 2024. Taking place on March 13, 18, 23, 26, 29 and 31, as well as April 3 and 6, the three-hour experience offers the unique chance to get out and about for Suhoor, GPP style.
The Suhoor Strolls take place in Dubai’s bustling Karama neighbourhood, and a guide will be on hand to assist with night photography tips and tricks. The stroll ends with a special tandoor chai stop, lessons of local history and exploration of Karama’s hidden gems, plus the evening finishes at a local restaurant with a photography review session.

Kulture House: A boutique, florist, cafe, & art gallery in Jumeirah
This Holy Month, the folks at Kulture House have collaborated with Italian luxury brand Miu Miu to debut a unique gathering and dining experience featuring a specially curated menu by Emirati Chef Nawal Al Nuaimi (Paper Fig).
The Scoop: The exclusive menu is available from 10am until midnight daily, on an a la carte basis.
Visit Dubai’s quirky art enclave: Alserkal Avenue
This Holy Month our friends at Alserkal Avenue are inviting you to ‘Stay a little longer’ with its community-focussed events shining the spotlight on “entangled histories”.
From March 23-31, every night from 7 p.m. until midnight, the Alserkal Avenue Ramadan programme includes movie screenings, poetry sessions, conversations and play readings all themed around the histories and experiences of communities past and present in the UAE.
Inviting you to discover various cultures without leaving the country, there will be new food pop-ups and a plethora of workshops, art walks and performances to enjoy in seven languages.

The Arabi Gharbi pop-up by L'Os at 25hours
Iconic Lebanese restaurant L’Os is hosting “a taste of Beirut in 25hrs” with this Arabi Gharbi pop-up at the Nomad Day Bar courtyard this Holy Month.
