Proudly on show at the front of Al Barsha’s elegant (and relatively new) Galleria Mall, Home Bakery Al Barsha is a welcome addition to the Barsha foodie scene. Just like its counterparts, the cosy Home Bakery DNA is present in every corner. Baking paraphernalia decorates the shelves, a beautiful big marble counter featuring a tempting array of Home Bakery’s signature baked goods catches your eye. There’s a big fridge displaying the day’s milk cake flavours and whole cakes. Seating wise, there are ample options for small and large groups and the bench seating offers cleverly placed charging sockets – making this a great place to study or get some work done.
Open daily from 7am until midnight, the Home Bakery menu features a variety of sweet and savoury breakfast classics that can be enjoyed until 1.30pm, cheat-day-worthy desserts and all-day sandwiches. The Huntr has visited several times for an early weekday breakfast. The cafe is lovely and quiet from 7am for a few hours, until the breakfast rush comes in around 9am up until 11am.
We’ve eaten and loved the Turkish Eggs (61AED) and the Turkish Simit (39AED) – both of which are filling and wholesome, leaving you full but energised. Plus the decadent Nutella French Toast, which is crispy on the outside and perfectly pillowy on the inside and coated in sweet and nostalgic Nutella and crunchy cornflakes. It is worth every calorie – don’t miss it.
Coffee-wise, Home Bakery are proud Brand Dubai x The Huntr #DubaiLovesCoffee winners and offer a variety of speciality coffees alongside ceremonial teas, and other soft drinks.
Insider tips: Free mall parking out front. More of a breakfast or breakfast for lunch place as the main menu items are limited. Also famed for its desserts and baked goods and a great place to pick up a special (edible) gift. Vegetarian-friendly options available.
