Julian’s Barbershop first opened its doors in Dubai in Jumeirah in 2003. The brainchild of a UK-born chap called (you guessed it) Julian, fast forward almost two decades and the British gem is still going strong thanks to its high quality services and talented, friendly staff.

Located at the Arenco Tower in Dubai Media City (since 2016), the space is small and cosy – with just four chairs. Interiors-wise, there are framed photographs of barber culture peppering the walls alongside old-school posters and adverts, giving Julian’s a vintage vibe and transporting you to an old English barbershop. The speakers are humming with indie tracks and the staff are cool and relaxed.

Julian’s offers straightforward grooming services for the modern gentleman including haircuts (140AED), beard trims (95AED), and a traditional hot towel shave (140AED).

The HUNTR visited for a haircut. Our stylist Michael (who boasts over a decade worth of experience in cutting hair) took around 30-minutes to create a short fade look on our editor, who said it was the best haircut he has ever had. The cut was performed dry and then followed by a shampoo, blow-dry, and styling.

Insider tips: The closest metro station is Nakheel, it’s then around a 10-minute walk to Julian’s. Book an appointment to avoid disappointment (online here). Under 16s haircuts are priced at 115AED.
