Spread over two floors at the Intercontinental Dubai Marina Hotel, Koyo first opened its doors in August 2021. A concept by the folks behind STK, Asia Asia, Karma Kafe and more, this is the place to head for drinks or a buzzy dinner experience…

Inspired by Tokyo’s nightlife scene, Koyo is a stunner. There’s a faux tattoo parlour at the reception, sexy dimmed red lights, the ceiling is filled with faux cherry blossom trees and flowers, and the Japanese art and culture references transport you there. Seating-wise, there are ample options for small and large groups – including private dining and VIP “front of stage” seats.

The menu here offers a range of Asian and Japanese favourites including sushi, sashimi, noodle and rice dishes, meat, seafood and fish, tempura, sandos, and more. The bar is fully licensed big and lively enough to function as a destination in its own right and offers a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The HUNTR booked in to experience the Taste of Koyo Menu, which is priced at a reasonable 500AED per couple and offers 4 courses, featuring some of Koyo’s best-selling dishes.

Don’t miss Koyo’s ‘Dinner Show’ live entertainment spectacle, which runs from 8 pm on Friday and Saturday. A series of shows are spread out throughout the evening and feature talented Samurais, Geishas, and acrobats. You’ll love it, and it’s perfect for special occasions like celebrating a birthday or a romantic date.
