Must-Experience: La Mer’s Private South Beach Day Rooms

La Mer South Beach Day Rooms are somewhat of an insider secret. There are just four available, and they are hidden at the end of the South Beach of La Mer. Join The Huntr as we spill the details…

Priced at 600AED for four people for a full days use, the day rooms at La Mer offer the ultimate way to experience the beach. Small but sufficient, these chic, wooden lodges feature super cold AC, a fridge, couches, chairs and a private deck with a view out to the sea. The price includes two sunbeds, a parasol and towels.

They are the ideal hire for small families with young children who may benefit from an AC-fuelled nap or an hour or two out of the sun, and likewise, they are perfect for a group of friends that want to hang out at the beach in style (and dodge the sand-sandwiches).

To hire one all you have to do is call the number listed in the contact box below or head to the Sea Breeze desk at South Beach La Mer. A 1000AED cash deposit is required upon check-in. They are priced at 600AED for four people and a 100AED for each additional guest (max 6 allowed per room). Under 12s can enjoy complimentary access. Also, upon purchase, you get a flat 20% off some of the best cafes, restaurants and shops at La Mer for the day – including The Huntr’s favourite Bareburger, Masti and Kaftan (both of which are close by to the rooms).

Insider tips: Arrive early to make full use of the room and the cooler morning temps – you can access the room from 8am until 7pm. Wonderfully quiet during weekdays (when The Huntr visited) and likely very busy at weekends (and therefore advise advanced booking). Paid parking underground at La Mer or free parking down the sidewalks if you are lucky enough. There is some construction work going on right next to the day rooms unfortunately and sadly there are no bathrooms inside the day rooms (although toilets and showers are a short walk away).
