POP-UPS + OTHER INITIATIVES

  • Turf Café will start a special draw for 2 boxes of exclusive Night Creatures specialty single-origin Panamanian coffee beans. Those who visit Turf between Dec 1st and 14th and spend money will be invited to enter into the draw. 

WORKSHOPS

  • The Home Brewing Workshops debut at Foodshed. Priced at 350AEDpp the workshop can be booked at the guest’s convenience (in advance and during Foodshed operating hours) and will include home brewing tutorials for V60 and Japanese over ice. It will also provide barista tips that include the 5 senses of coffee, milk steaming, Latte art, and a bag of coffee beans to take home. Running throughout Dec 1-15.
  • V60 and Chemex theoretical workshops will be held every day of #AbuDhabiLovesCoffee at Kaffie Dec 1-15 at 2-3pm, 3-4pm and 4-5pm. Priced at 120AED for 2 people or 80AED for one person.

COOL STUFF HAPPENING ON WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 2ND

  • From 4-7pm BRDG‘s Specialty Coffee and Photography Workshops kickstart. Featuring hands-on training sessions for espresso-based and filtered coffee creation. Plus coffee mobilography training and Instagram content generation, culminating in a free portrait shot at the BRDG studio for each attendee. Priced at 250AED per person.
  • Barista Classes launch at Slash Coffee HQ branch from 2-5.30pm and are priced at 100AED per person with limited spots available.
  • Latte Art Classes commence at Turf Cafe today at 5-7pm. Priced at 70AED per person and limited to 6 attendees per session, participants will receive a free coffee with a menu purchase on their next visit to Turf and the classes will culminate in a Throw Down on the 7th of Dec at 5pm.

  • Mirzam Chocolate Maker’s Japanese Brewing Techniques at Home workshop series kickstarts today. Running for one hour, the workshops are priced at 300AED per person and include a take-home set with coffee beans and a chocolate tasting kit. The workshop covers three brewing techniques – v60, Kalita, and Kinto and is led by Mirzam’s expert baristas. Running 1-2.30pm. Limited spots available and ladies-only sessions will be on the schedule.
  • Brewing Classes launch at Slash Coffee HQ + Capital Mall branches from 12noon until 5pm. They are priced at 100AED per person and are limited to 6 places
  • Latte Art Class at Turf Cafe at 5-6pm . Priced at 70AED per person and limited to 6 attendees per session, participants will receive a free coffee with a menu purchase on their next visit to Turf and the classes will culminate in a throw down on the 7th of Dec at 5pm.

From 2pm to 4pm, Pentagon’s Head Barista will gladly go table-to-table to give you a one-to-one chance to ask him anything you would like to know about the wonderful world of specialty coffee.
  • Be The Brewer launches at Turf Cafe from 6-7pm and features everything you need to know to do your favourite manual brew at home, as well as demystifying some coffee terms and answering all of your questions.  Participants will have the chance to brew and taste the different methods. Priced at 30AED per person.
  • Cupping sessions launch at Foodshed and are running today at 2pm and 5pm (free to attend).
