Kaffe Bloom, The Greens
Tucked away inside an Asian specialist grocery, Kaffe Bloom is named after the magical ‘dance’ that happens between the water, fire and coffee when you brew coffee using slow-drip methods, called ‘the blooming stage’. The folks at Kaffe Bloom use Barn beans and there are a variety of brews on offer including a unique iced Vietnamese coffee alongside the usual speciality suspects!
Culinary Boutique, Al Barsha
Located inside the new(ish) Galleria Mall in Al Barsha, Culinary Boutique’s second branch is the perfect spot to study or get work done thanks to the free wifi, delish eats, great food and relaxing vibes.
RAW Coffee, Al Quoz
The OGs of speciality coffee in Dubai and the UAE, the folks at RAW Coffee started off life as a bootlegging operation only to go onto be one of the most recognisable roasters and figures in the third wave scene. They most recently upped sticks to a huge warehouse space in Al Quoz and now offer a full food menu alongside one of the city’s most iconic brews.
Mirzam Chocolate, Al Quoz
If you love chocolate as much as you love good coffee then this is the spot for you. An actual working chocolate factory, Mirzam Chocolate recently upgraded its space to include more square footage and a savoury menu of filled croissants and tartines that are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea.
Nightjar Coffee, Al Quoz
Operating as a coveted Dubai-based roaster for a number of years before it opened its very own cafe concept, Nightjar Coffee was one of the proud winners of The Huntr’s #DubaiLovesCoffee partnership with the Government of Dubai. Located inside the super cool and inspiring Alserkal Avenue, Nightjar has the feel of an underground bar and the soul of a hip, secret society.
Airwerks Cafe & Cycle Shop, Al Safa
One of the newest spots in town, Airweks Cafe & Cycle Shop is the brainchild of the same folks behind Myocum Dubai so you know it’s good. It’s the perfect spot for coffee lovers who are also health and fitness freaks (there’s a yoga studio and a super wholesome menu on offer) and of course if you love cycling you are going to feel right at home here too.
Around The Block, Jumeirah 1
From the folks behind Moylo’s Burgers, Around The Block offers a tempting menu of breakfast dishes, burgers and more, alongside sneakers and noteworthy speciality coffee. The homegrown gem has quickly become a favourite to those in the know and regularly fills up at Wasl 51.
Bagel Yard, Al Safa
This API 1000 gem takes its bagels very seriously – they Montreal-style bagels, which are hand-rolled, simmered in honey water and then wood-fired, in-house, daily. Choose from savoury and sweet filled options for breakfast or lunch alongside this homegrown concept’s cracking speciality coffee.
Culinary Boutique, Jumeirah 1
The first of the two Culinary Boutique concepts, this Jumeirah 1 spot offers unique cooking classes in an expansive villa alongside its cafe offering. We adore the creative ceiling, delicious eats, and faultless coffee on offer here. The alfresco dining on offer is also fab for this time of year.
Myocum, Al Safa
Named after a small town in New South Wales, Australia, Myocum is a fantastic neighbourhood eatery and cafe serving up divine Aussie-inspired creations for breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside some exemplary speciality coffee. We love that they serve the wonderful Minor Figures Organic Barista Oat Milk here too.
Society Cafe & Lounge, Jumeirah 1
A conservatory-inspired foodie dream, Emirati-owned Society Cafe & Lounge is loved for its A* food and consistently good speciality coffee. Head here for a great breakfast experience alongside your caffeine or indulge in a sweet treat.
The 100 Cafe, Jumeirah 1
The 100 Cafe is located inside The Hundred Wellness Centre – a wellness gem located inside a beautiful villa complete with a garden and filled with natural light. Head here for a side of good vibes with your caffeine, take a book and cosy up in a corner somewhere or check out a yoga or Pilates class. There’s also a plant-based menu and lots of vegan-friendly caffeine options.
Typica, Umm Suqeim
Speciality coffee enthusiasts will adore this tiny little Umm Suqeim gem, which aims to put the transparency back into the third-wave scene and has a pretty awesome (red) AREMDE coffee machine – the only one currently in the UAE last time we checked.
Vanilla Sukkar, Al Safa
Owned by an Emirati mother and daughter duo, Vanilla Sukkar started life as a home delivery baking concept before growing to encompass this pretty plant-filled cafe. The sourdough is handcrafted and second to none, whilst the coffee (powered by Cypher Roastery) is faultless.
Parlour Boutique, Trade Centre Area
Driven to serve up “fantastic French food without attitude” this gorgeous spot also offers up some excellent speciality coffee. Head here for a meal or a sweet treat or just a cup of coffee whilst you catch up on some work – the pretty interiors are sure to inspire.
BURJ KHALIFA AREA
Two at Symphony, The Dubai Mall
The brainchild of two Emirati sisters (hence the name Two), this Dubai Mall eatery has a cult following thanks to its Instagrammable presentation and flair. Some folks say the best dessert in town can be found here and the coffee is pretty special too.
From the folks behind Society Cafe & Lounge, Toplum brings its unique brand of gourmet eats and speciality coffee to the Mirdif Area at the City Centre Mirdif Mall. It helps that breakfast is served all day long too.

Mirzam Chocolate, Al Khalidiya
This Dubai-born bean-to-bar chocolate concept arrived in Abu Dhabi in the Spring of 2019 at the mesmerising Qasr Al Hosn site. Minimal interiors, craft chocolate, and some of the best speciality coffee in town await you here.
Wake Up Cafe, Al Nahyan
About the size of a singular parking space, Wake Up Cafe Abu Dhabi has been serving speciality coffee in the UAE capital since 2017. There are no bathrooms and extremely limited seating making this more of a “grab and go” speciality coffee gem than a “sit around and read a book” place – but it’s a great spot nonetheless. Early risers will be excited to learn it is open daily from 7am.
Single Origin, Al Faseel
Located close to the beach, this Emirati-owned, homegrown speciality coffee gem serves up Fujairah’s best third-wave coffee alongside desserts, acai bowls, and ‘moment boxes’, which would make the ideal gift for someone special.
