Say hello to Sunday Goodies. A cookie-specialist micro-bakery from London – in Dubai until the end of February 2021…
Founded by Micaela Philippo (who has spent the past 10 years working as a brand strategist and consultant in the UK hospitality industry) Sunday Goodies cookies are no ordinary cookies. These are chewy and gooey and made with the finest ingredients. Micaela brought organic, wholegrain flours over from the UK (by Shipton Mill) only uses the best Valrhona chocolate and sources her eggs from the organic farmer’s market in Business Bay.
The signature Sunday Goodies menu includes brown butter, muscovado, 66% dark chocolate, salted peanut butter, honey & white chocolate, and tahini, 70% dark chocolate & rye. Plus every week there is an exclusive cookie inspired by the ingredients native to this region (when The HUNTR received our order it was a Medjool date, 46% milk chocolate, and kamut creation).
The cookies are limited. The menu is posted on the Sunday Goodies Instagram account at 9 am on Monday mornings and orders are taken until the goodies are gone.
Micaela told The HUNTR: “Over the past year I have really worked on the recipes to get to something I believe is perfect. The chocolate chip cookie is an incredible medium to work with as there are often so few ingredients. I was curious to find out what would happen if I just used the best ingredients I could find. The flours I use are really important as they make such an impact on flavour and texture. Kamut flour – an ancient grain that originated in Northern Iran, has a super nutty and buttery flavour and a soft yellow colour. Rye stands up really well to rich flavours and dark chocolates. Buckwheat (coming soon) is not only a great option for gluten free but it is full of earthy flavours.”
The cookies are baked fresh and placed in the box warm. They are priced at 100AED for a box of 6, and 180AED for a box of 12 with Dubai delivery priced at 20AED. Pick up is also available.
Cookie fans trust us – you’ve got to try these Sunday Goodies…
