DISCOVER ART DUBAI 2020 ONLINE, LAUNCHES MARCH 23RD

The past month saw many concerts, festivals, museums, and theatres postpone their dates amid the global COVID-19 pandemic. And while it seemed as though the region’s biggest art fair was set to suffer the same fate, in a swift and unprecedented move, Art Dubai announced that it would be taking its 2020 programme online.

While the physical experience will remain postponed, Art Dubai’s online catalogue allows artists, critics, and art enthusiasts alike to view over 500 artworks and live performances from participating galleries online. Using the online catalogue, viewers can browse through works, filters sections through a range of criteria, and even place purchase enquiries.

“Adapting to a digital program enables us to uphold our mission to support galleries and nurture Dubai’s arts ecosystem, even in these challenging circumstances,” Art Dubai directors Chloe Vaitsou and Pablo del Val have said of the move.
