Say hello to Maxzi Dubai: A cafe serving great speciality coffee, a restaurant offering reasonably-priced and healthy eats, butchery and specialist food store – all under one roof in Dubai’s Al Quoz…
Spacious and offering strong wifi, an outdoor seating area and reasonably priced, excellent speciality coffee (a Flat White is 16AED), Maxzi is the ideal spot to get work done or study. There’s also a coffee loyalty card, which gets you one free coffee for every 5 purchased.
Food-wise, Maxzi offers breakfast dishes a la carte and there is also a buffet option, alongside dishes for lunch and (early) dinner, desserts, appetisers and snacks. All of the meat is hormone-free, raised on a vegetable diet, with no antibiotics, MSG and never frozen. The rotisserie chicken is succulent and tasty and starts “rotating” in the special rotisserie oven fresh every morning. Other main dishes include steaks, burgers, fish and salads. There are also daily deals and specials – when The Huntr visited, Thursday was “1/2 chicken with fries or salad for 20AED” day. There is also a great breakfast deal, which includes a speciality coffee of your choice and a breakfast sandwich for 18AED. Unfortunately, there are only a couple of options for vegetarians at present.
The butchery at the back offers a range of meats and poultry and the specialist food items stacking the surrounding shelves include dry goods, fresh and frozen produce.
Insider tip: Open weekdays 7.30am until 7pm. Closed Fridays. Open Saturday 8am until 4pm. Maxzi is usually quite peaceful until the office lunch hour period 12-2pm. Keep tabs on the Maxzi Instagram account for daily deals and offers. Paid parking out the front – if it is full, there’s ample parking, on the right and left, a short drive at the end of the road.
