Step inside Mishkah’s Palestinian Supper Club with The HUNTR

Tucked away inside Al Quoz, Mishkah is a Palestinian owned specialty coffee shop, with its very own olive oil and herb boutique.

Recently the folks behind Mishkah have partnered up with budding chef Khalid to debut a Palestinian themed Supper Club. Naturally your friends at The HUNTR had to book in…

A beautiful homage to Palestine’s rich culture, the 16-seat dinner experience offers the unique opportunity to explore delicious food and great conversation with new people. Set at the centre of Mishkah’s expansive space, the table is simply decorated with white linens and pretty crockery, and flanked by Mishkah’s olive oil bar and, at the other end, a majestic olive tree.

We were welcomed with ‘Holy Shots’ of extra virgin oil and Sage Cold Brew with aromatic mountain leaves and cold black tea. To share, there was a plate of crispy flatbread stuffed with fresh salty zaatar, sweet Nabulsi cheese, and onions called Mutabak Naulsi. The feast began with Maftool Soup, a comforting creation with chickpeas, tomatoes, and pearl onions. Then the crispy Musakhan Roll with onion confit, sumac, chicken, and the Rommaniyeh Osbao, brown lentils with crispy fried bread, pomegranate seeds, and hints of tamarind. Divine. For the mains, the Dawali, stuffed vine leaves, zucchini, and lamb cutlets with bone broth were all incredibly delicious.

The evening then finished on a sweet note with a salty tahini cracker, sweet honey, and bitter black sesame paste, our taste buds were happy, and our bellies and hearts full.
