First opened in 2015, Mokha 1450 Coffee Boutique is one of the city’s first specialty coffee and mixology concepts. Located in Al Safa’s Aswaaq Center, this cozy little specialty coffee gem is a celebration of traditional Arabic style – think tables engraved with Arabic geometric totems, hanging lanterns, private little corners, and a bright, eye-catching jewel-coloured colour palette.

Food-wise the offering is limited to bakes and cookies (by local favourite Melange), and the team at Mokha 1450 also welcomes all customers with complimentary water and dates. Coffee-wise our contributor thinks it is one of the best in Dubai – and there are several dairy-free milks available (almond, soya and oat on The HUNTR’s visit).

We opted for the Flat White (26.25AED) with Yemeni Sabri (which our contributor thinks is the best flat white they’ve ever tried in the UAE). Plus the Tahini Brownie (15AED) and a Cookie (10AED).

The free Wifi and nearby public bathrooms make it a great spot for studying or getting work done. Outside seating is also available for the cooler months and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and great to explore the world of specialty coffee with.
