Napo Pizzeria Abu Dhabi is an authentic Italian gem located in Al Bateen. Join The Huntr as we present the delicious details…
Owned by Italians, Napo Pizzeria is on a mission to bring delicious food inspired by Napoli City in Italy to the UAE capital. This homegrown Al Bateen restaurant first opened its doors in late February 2020, opening only for dinner to start and then introducing lunch from 12.30. The concept does a great job of offering a modern Italian experience – from the tiled walls and large central oven, to the wooden ceiling fans and chairs and the relaxing greenery. Cosy and comfortable, the staff at Napo are also super-friendly and make you feel at home.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating available and various options for small and big groups. The Huntr recommends sitting outside amongst the greenery when the weather permits and the free wifi on offer makes this a great spot to enjoy a working lunch.
Food-wise the menu features a tempting array of Italian dishes including salads, pizzas, pastas, seafood/fish, chicken and veal. There are healthy creations and vegetarian options available. The Huntr opted for the Burrata Salad (65AED) with semi-dried tomatoes, basil, and extra virgin olive oil, the Jumbo Tiger Prawns with Lemon Butter (65AED), and the Truffle Fries (60AED) – a firm favourite of ours and feature triple-cooked hand-cut potatoes with truffle cream, shaved truffle and parmesan and we opted to add additional fresh truffle (30AED). For the main event we shared the Napo Pizza (80AED) with short ribs, buffalo bocconcini, caramelised onion, micro greens, and crispy onions and the Pink Pasta (65AED). The pizza was especially good and we particularly loved the rich flavour of the short ribs. To end a delightful lunch on a sweet note we had the Tiramisu (32AED), which was perfectly balanced and highly-recommended.
Drinks-wise, Napo is alcohol-free and offers mocktails and soft drinks. We opted for the refreshing Passion and Lime Mojito (20AED).
Insider tips: Open daily for lunch and dinner, 12.30 until 9.30pm. Free parking when ticket is validated.
