Poke and Co JLT: Some of the best poke in the city

Already fans of its original outpost in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), The Huntr was eager to try Poke and Co JLT – read on for our full review and pictures…

Just a 10-minute walk from the Damac Metro Station, tucked away inside Cluster Y at Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) is Poke & Co’s second Dubai outpost: Poke & Co JLT.

Just like its older sister in DIFC, this homegrown gem is incredibly inviting. Think hanging plants, white tiles, wooden tables and a lush show kitchen. There is also heaps of natural light, making this a wonderful spot to enjoy a leisurely meal, an inspiring meeting or get some work done.

Food-wise, the menu is exactly the same as in DIFC and features some of the best poke in the city (including a variety of ways in which you can create your own bespoke creation), alongside other breakfast and lunch/dinner dishes.

The Huntr recommends checking out the Mango, Pineapple & Turmeric Bowl (42AED), which is comprised of mango blended with pineapple and banana and topped with cacao nibs, seasonal fruits, cashew, orange and mint. It’s refreshing, filling and nutritious – making it the perfect breakfast or sweet treat.

We also love the Aloha Poke (65AED for medium), which is a delicious mixture of raw salmon, light ponzu sauce, red onion, edamame, cherry tomatoes, seaweed salad, mango, avocado, sesame seeds, chilli flakes and ginger on a rice base. Don’t miss it.

Lastly, the Big Island Burrito (50AED), which feels like eating a giant sushi roll, is rather lovely. It’s made with raw salmon, raw tuna, sesame ponzu sauce, edamame, red onions, jalapeños, avocado, mango, seaweed salad, furikake, ginger and wasabi and signature rice.

Drinks-wise, there are a wide selection of beverages on offer include healthy smoothies, teas, cold-pressed juices, coconut water and more. We went with the (perfect) Flat White (20AED).
