Raju’s empire is growing quicker than the pile of broken eggshells in its kitchen. Discover its latest location: Raju Omlet Business Bay, here, now….
What started with humble beginnings in Al Karama, has gone on to expand into Al Quoz, Sharjah and now: Dubai’s Business Bay. So what’s the magic formula? It must be the eggcellent mix of epic egg dishes, karak and quirky interiors – certainly, that’s what we at The Huntr love most about this homegrown gem.
The perfect place for breakfast, Raju Omlet is also good for lunch or dinner and for a very reasonable price, you can try India’s delicious breakfast concoctions, omelettes, gravies and curries, rice specials, and sizzlers.
The Huntr visited Raju’s latest outpost for a weekend breakfast. We sampled the Egg & Cheese Roll (17AED), a comforting combination of mildly-spiced paratha with egg and melted cheddar cheese – don’t miss it. The Mumbai Omlet Sandwich (12AED), a simple omelette with Mumbai’s vada pav chutney made using garlic, coconut and red chilli powder, the Power Omlet (14AED), which is a spicy and scrumptious assortment of spinach paste, chopped capsicum, crushed onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic and the Eggs Kejriwal (18AED) – eggs, chillies, cheese and mushrooms, all inspired by the famous recipe at Mumbai’s iconic 100-year-old Willingdon Club. Lastly, the Rice Bhurji (18AED) offered the perfect blend of carbs and protein with its scrambled minced eggs with basmati rice, grated boiled eggs and spices.
To wash it all down, we ordered the Cutting Chai (4AED) (karak), a freshly-squeezed orange juice (10AED) and the Masala Lemonade (8AED).
101AED for a delicious feast featuring five dishes and three drinks? Cracking. Can’t beat it. We’ll be back Raju.
