Meet Roseleaf Cafe. Hidden inside the green fingers’ paradise that is Dubai Garden Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road, Roseleaf Cafe Dubai is a cute little foodie oasis that will have you forgetting you are in the Arabian desert. We can’t think of many other places we would rather have breakfast on a Saturday – perfect scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with an artisanal coffee and a spot of plant shopping? Yes, please!
During the week, Roseleaf Cafe Dubai is a busy lunch destination for those in the know, offering a variety of healthy dishes including salads, sandwiches, wraps, pies, frittatas and tortillas. The local favourite Karak Chai Masala tea is also available here, as are some healthy juices including a ‘Green Machine Smoothie’. The coffee is top drawer and taken care of by Nightjar – which happens to be co-owned by Roseleaf founder Rose and her husband Leon.
Dessert fans will love the selection of homemade marshmallows, pastries, cakes and other freshly baked goods on offer, and Roseleaf also serves Italian favourite Affogato – a scoop of ice-cream served with a pour of espresso. Delightful.
Insider tip: Roseleaf also has a second outpost at the Emirates Golf Club in Emirates Hills – read The Huntr’s full review and see all of the pics, here.
