Teible: A new menu and a refurb at the Jameel Arts Centre

The 2022 summer in Dubai came with many challenges, an unexpected one being having to stalk the Insta of Teible; the coveted sustainable, ingredient-driven restaurant located in the Jameel Arts Centre. When were they reopening? How long would the refurb take? Are the chefs looking after the sourdough starter at home? Could they bake us some bread to order?

But hurrah! Teible has now re-launched with a deepening of their commitment to local produce and sustainability; bathrooms remodeled using discarded palm trees from Abu Dhabi and a menu with an astonishing level of local produce. Strawberries from Al Ain, prawns from Abu Dhabi, and burrata from Sharjah – ingredients that don’t just have a lower carbon footprint but taste better for it.

The version 3.0 Teible menu has also launched with new dishes – The HUNTR particularly recommends the Koji Corn made from feta, labneh, and corn all sourced from Al Ain. However, burger lovers must not fret; their unctuously umami-tasting Garum Burger (debatably one of the best in Dubai) and Prawn Mamak have stayed on the menu.

Insider tips: The triple-cooked chips sell out early and leave room for dessert; they are exquisite.
