If you’ve been living in Dubai for more than 10 minutes, chances are you’ve heard of the infamous Traiteur brunch. If you’re visiting the UAE and looking for the best brunch in Dubai – you’ve landed in the right place…
Following expansive refurbishment, the restaurants at the Park Hyatt Deira have been transformed into The Promenade – a water-facing spot that encompasses Brasserie Du Park (which used to be called Traiteur), NOÉPE (which used to be called The Terrace) and an all-new 70s themed bar called Seventy Seventy.
Just as before, the Traiteur brunch takes place across Brasserie Du Park (ex-Traiteur) and NOÉPE (ex-The Terrace). There are a plethora of indoor and outdoor seating options to choose from. If the weather permits, The Huntr recommends booking one of the couch and low table combos at NOÉPE, or the high table and chair setups. You will be facing the beautiful bobbing boats in the marina, and feel as if you have transported to Cape Cod, which serves as the theme for this beautiful little gem. If it’s summer and far too hot for outdoor seating, seafood lovers should opt to sit inside at NOÉPE (which is where all of the raw seafood is stationed) or inside Brasserie Du Park for easy access to the extensive buffet and interactive kitchens.
So what makes this Dubai’s best brunch? Quality. That’s what. It’s fine dining standard food, delivered in a relaxed atmosphere, with impeccable service and fancy vibes. You can walk amongst the chefs in the kitchen and choose from a variety of freshly-cooked dishes. The Huntr recommends visiting the raw seafood station at NOÉPE first and filling your plate with freshly shucked Fine de Claire oysters, caviar, lobster and the like, before heading inside to the main area at Brasserie Du Park and sampling more (grilled) lobster, juicy beef, decadent sides such as dauphinoise potatoes, gnocchi and other delights.
The cheese selection is second to none, and there is a whole other room dedicated to desserts, which will excite even the those who claim not to be a sweet-tooth. There’s also pork on offer for those who eat it, and a hog roast option stationed just outside NOÉPE.
Drinks-wise, there are 4 packages to choose from: non-alcoholic (495AED), sparkling and house beverages (695AED), standard champagne (Besserat de Bellefon Champagne Cuvée des Moines Brut 775AED), and premium, vintage champagne (Besserat de Bellefon Champagne Cuvée des Moines Brut 2006 895AED). Kids below 6 dine for free and kids aged 6-12years are charged 247.5AED. The Promenade is the only spot in the UAE serving Besserat champagne, founded in Aÿ in 1843 by Edmond Besserat. The brunch runs from 1-4.30pm every Friday.
Insider tip: Bookings encouraged. Dress code is smart casual. After brunch, there’s a special happy hour at NOÉPE from 5-8pm (it runs daily and offers 2-for-1 on alcoholic beverages)
