Nestled inside The Greens in Dubai’s Tecom neighbourhood, Zabeel House by Jumeirah is billed as the ‘ultimate social hub’. Featuring 210 urban rooms of varying sizes, the boutique hotel is easily accessible from the Dubai Metro and features a contemporary and eclectic interior design. Homely and casual, the hotel’s prices are as welcoming as its aesthetics – with overnight stays starting at just 199AED per night.
The ground floor features the reception, lounge area, a shoppable pop-up by Dubai homegrown interior heroes Georges of Dubai and the licensed, casual eatery – Social Company. On the 4th floor you will find the Native House Spa, gym, pool area, children’s play room and the licensed Lah Lah restaurant. Dog-friendly, community is key to the Zabeel Club concept – as such, there are regular events and pop-ups, and special rates and offers for UAE residents, including the opportunity to become a member and enjoy full use of the hotel’s facilities at Native House. Fitness-wise, the gym encompasses an indoor and outdoor workout space – there’s a 40m outdoor sprint track and a 18-metre rooftop pool surrounded by sun beds and luxurious cabanas. The little ones will love the Play House and there are on-site childcare options available.
The Huntr visited Zabeel House by Jumeirah The Greens for an overnight stay during the summer of 2019. We stayed at The Apartment – the largest and most high-end guest room available, which is spread over a one-bedroom space, separate lounge and kitchen area (complete with Smeg fridge, oven and Nespresso machine), and a spacious en-suite fitted with a walk-in shower and a pretty bath tub. Feeling cosy and in the mood to luxuriate in the room, we opted to enjoy a sumptuous room service feast for dinner. After dinner we relaxed with the in-room TV and enjoyed a wonderfully comfortable nights sleep on the spacious king-sized bed.
The next day, we took breakfast at the Social Company before a quick splash in the rooftop pool followed by a gym session. Lunch was taken at Pan-Asian bar and restaurant Lah Lah (more on that here) and we then completed our experience with a heavenly aromatherapy massage treatment at the Native House Spa.
Insider tips: Ask about Native Club membership for UAE citizens. Check the free yoga schedule when you check-in. For the ultimate luxury, book The Apartment. Three of The Huntr’s favourite homegrown concepts are close-by and worth checking out during your stay – specialist store and cafe Pure South, speciality coffee shop Kaffe Bloom and Asian supermarket 1004 Gourmet.
